Na na. I always thought spelling words the American way was a lot more comfortable, although I probably might want to try my pen on British English soon if I am to study in England.
Black.. I think it looks plain on Asians. We don't have the adavantage of having different hair colors naturally like you caucasians do :)

...yeah, 'cause I've always loved my blond hair to pieces... :P Actually, I want brown. Or black, reaally long hair every time I watch Pocahontas! XD (That never changed from the first time I saw it, haha!) ...I want to dye my hair now. XD Too bad I thought of that the one time I really can't. :P
For me, the hair colour and the shape of the eyes (plus that adorable button nose of which I am eternally envious (I think mine's too big and...bah.)) makes Asians look similar in a cool way. :P And it makes me stand out like a sore thumb in Japan. -.-;;
I don't think it really matters if you spell it "colors" or "colours" when you study in England. :P I'm not aware of that many differences, though... the only one that comes to mind is the whole "we Americans are too lazy to spell it out with all those "u"s! Color, I say, color!!" thing. XD

Well, like you pointed out, your natural hair colour is not "black-black", but has a tint of brown to it. So I don't think it's that amazing, really...? ;P But you look good with it, don't worry!
Oh, you spell it "color" the American way. That's kind of funny - I speak "American English" (or something close to it, anyway. I've never lived in America...), but I spell colour, neighbour and so on the British way. Even though the Internet keeps telling me it's "wrong". Bad Dobby! XD
